Since re-opening five years ago, Shoreditch Town Hall has established itself as the venue of choice for a whole range of events, from star- studded galas and internationally acclaimed art exhibitions to small meetings, film shoots, private parties and launches.
An imposing classical Victorian building, designed by Caesar Augustus Long and opened in 1866, Shoreditch Town Hall was originally built as the Vestry Hall for Shoreditch and was considered to be the largest and grandest of London’s Vestry Halls

In 1904, just as the new Assembly Hall was nearing completion, it was destroyed by a fire and had to be completely rebuilt, finally re-opening in 1907.
A famous boxing venue for many years, Shoreditch Town Hall hosted a match in 1969 which led to the death of Trinidadian heavyweight champion, Ulric Regis. A total ban on fights in Hackney followed for
many years, and the sport never regained it's previous popularity.

In the early nineties, the hall became infamous as the site for the legendary Whirly-Gig club parties- dance-filled nights of global trance and tribal beats.
Following a £2.3 million refurbishment programme, Shoreditch Town Hall reopened- renovated and rave free, and is now the place of choice for London's prestigious events...
